FLAP DISCS - TRIM SERIES

Thanks to the special blend of zirconium and ceramic abrasive and the presence of a top-size coating for cooling purposes, this disc is suitable for roughing/grinding operations, even heavy-duty, on stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron and all particularly hard and difficult-to-machine metals. Its special plastic backing can be ‘trimmed’: as the cloth wears down, the outer part of the backing can be reduced to maximise disc utilisation. It is recommended to use grinders with power >= 1,200w.

FLAP DISCS - ALU SERIES

A revolution in the world of aluminium. A flap disc that is the ultimate solution for the difficult machining of this metal. Thanks to the technology used in the cloth backing, in the abrasive, and in the stearate top-size coating, this disc performs a cold cut (no bluing caused by overheating) and avoids clogging, a typical problem associated with machining aluminium. Thanks to its characteristics, this disc has a longer life and higher performance than a traditional one. For best results, it is recommended to apply without excessive pressure.

CUTTING & GRINDING DISCS

Cutting and grinding discs are composed of 4 main elements: the abrasive/ bonding mixture, the reinforcing mesh, the ring nut and the label. When using the grinding disc, the abrasive is the only active element for cutting and grinding operations. Reinforcement netting and a ring nut give the grinding wheel its strength and resistance to mechanical stress during machining. The label shows the characteristics of the grinding wheels. The range of cutting and grinding discs offered by TAF ABRASIVI is particularly wide: it includes flat and depressed centre discs of various diameters, thicknesses and hardnesses. Constant in-house research enables the company to offer increasingly high-performance and safe products.

FIBRE DISCS - CERAMIC TOP SERIES

State-of-the-art product designed for even the heaviest machining operations on particularly hard metals and alloys. The ceramic abrasive and its top-size coating guarantee high stock removal, cool cutting and long life. It is recommended to be mounted on rigid backing pads and used on grinders with a power output of more than 1,000 watts.

FLAP WHEELS

Thanks to their design, flap wheels work without clogging, without heating and thus without deformation of even thin workpieces. Furthermore, the quality of the surfaces obtained remains constant until the wheel is completely worn and the degree of finish is uniform.

The range includes flap wheels with flange, shaft and quick-mounting (with threaded M14 bore).

CLOTHS FOR HAND APPLICATIONS

TAF ABRASIVI offers a wide range of sheets and economy rolls, available in various sizes and grits. These products can be used by hand or with orbital sanders for all sanding needs on metal, wood and many other materials.

FINISHING DISCS - DUP122

DUP122 discs consist of compact non-woven abrasive fibre (Unitized) bonded to a fibreglass backing. They are suitable for improving the finish of surfaces that have already been ground, for small stock removal and general cleaning.

Used on structural steels, stainless steels, aluminium, non-ferrous metals, titanium, plastics.

To be used on angle grinders equipped with speed control.

SATIN-FINISHING WHEELS

They are available in the following formats:

- wheels with hole, cloth, mixed and non-woven nylon fibre, for use on satin-finishing machines equipped with speed control and suitable for finishing operations on metal surfaces, even large ones;

- wheels with shaft, available in mixed (non-woven plus cloth) and all-cloth versions, for use on straight grinders with variable speed control and used for finishing small surfaces, even shaped ones, and those difficult to access.

ABRASIVE PAPERS

Available as sheets, rolls and velcro discs, they are the most practical and economical solution for working on wood, fillers and paints. TAF ABRASIVI offers a wide range of products for the most demanding professionals.
